Summary
The International Cesarean Awareness Network (ICAN) is a nonprofit that works to improve the health of moms and babies by lowering the number of unnecessary cesarean births. ICAN offers support for cesarean recovery and shares information about safe options like vaginal birth after cesarean (VBAC). They have over 100 local and international chapters, a private group, free educational tools, and host blood drives. For $30 a year, birth givers can join and access all webinars. Professionals can join for $60 and be listed in ICAN’s directory, use a special member badge, and attend webinars. ICAN also shares information on how to file hospital complaints, contact lawmakers, and learn about anti-racism and Black maternal health.
